Hello! Thanks for your attention! I appreciate it a lot! ❤️
I wish you to have a great day! 😘
Greetings. I am Neiot.
You may have seen me poking around where my nose does not belong, or seen my comments at some point in the past where I poke at people in hopes of reviving a lost dream of DeviantArt. You may have even seen my name on YouTube a few times if you're familiar with the nerdy swords community. I am but a humble DeviantArtist who does ... er ... various artistic things, from digital art, to photography, to literature, to the dumbest little pixel arts. It's gone now, but I was once the leading figure for a massive roleplaying group on the site. I've since turned it into more of a solo project and have been trying to regain the inspirations of the past. Outside of DeviantArt, I did volunteering for a museum of antique war planes and tanks. I dabble with swords and I do a whole lot of gaming, such as Monster Hunter, particularly on Discord with friends.
It is no secret that on DeviantArt and some art websites in general, the general sense of community is broken and it takes “Comment Campaigns” to regain that which we've lost. It is rather sad, I see it all of the time; groups dedicated to prompting people to posting comments on deviations for some form of a reward. Now, I am not condemning this practice, but folks can agree that using money as an incentive to be social on a social media site is... uh... huh? Okay. You do you.
Granted, this is going to be a repetitive copy-paste comment on my part, so I am a bit of a hypocrite in that sense. And, no, before you go on wondering why this comment is so long and you're seeing it everywhere, I am not a user-bot or some AI scambot coming to swindle you in your sleep. You are one of many profiles I am hopping to in an attempt to reach out to the real underrated artists who do not receive enough attention on this website. A sort of personal impersonal “how do you do” deal. You may choose to ignore and delete this comment, I ain't ya mum. But I want to at least be frank with everyone I post this comment to and say that you aren't random. I chose to comment on your profile because I either found and liked your artwork while browsing certain tags or because you seem like a genuinely lovely person with a big heart who puts actual effort into what they do. I admire that.
With all that said, I have a few broad questions I would like to ask you and fellow artists like you.
Why is DeviantArt your website of choice to post your art on?
What are your alternatives to DeviantArt which you trust?
What inspires you in your art? What sustains you?
What is it about your own artwork that you like the most?
What do you think you can improve upon when it comes to art?
As a final note, DeviantArt as a whole has such a stupid way of hiding features from people. It's got a forum. It ain't the prettiest and there are lots of dumb AI spambots crawling around it, but I feel like ... if more people are aware that these forums exist, then users won't be as isolated as they currently are.
The General Forum - the hub where everybody is. I post in this the most, but keep watch for trolls. They'll pounce on the slightest hint of weakness.
The Art Projects Forum - where you can freely post commissions and requests. You're almost guaranteed to get a reply if you share your work there.
The Art Share Forum - where you share your art. It's as simple as that. Go on and share your stuff, because I think your artwork is worth sharing, otherwise I would not have posted this entire comment on your page!
